All P-2 families have been kindly invited to Karalee State School for our Under 8s Day on Thursday 22 June 2023, 11.40am to 1pm. No RSVP is required this year. The program of rotations and map has been emailed to P-2 parents and is also attached to this school newsletter. The staff and students look forward to sharing this special Under 8s celebration with you.
Parents are welcome to join their child; but where they have more than one child in Prep, Year 1 and Year 2, parents can move to each other child. Please refer to the program showing where classes will be during each rotation. The timing of rotations will vary due to the number of classes in each year level. Please remember that the students are to stay in their class groups and not to join their siblings in other year levels as this may affect the resources that have been allocated for each year level.
We are also looking forward to our Kindy friends joining the prep rotations too. This will be their first transition event at Karalee State School. We hope our Karalee school community makes them feel welcome. Mrs Smith will be handing out the name tags, programs and maps for the pre-prep students and parents outside her room near the year one eating area. The Police will be providing a special activity for the Prep and pre-prep rotations. We are very grateful to our Adopt-a- Cop Sergeant Amber for organising the police officers and vehicles. We are sure the children are going to love it!
Finally, a special thank you to our Prep, Year One and Year Two teachers who always plan wonderfully engaging activities for the early years to make it an awesome Under 8s Day!
