Parent Barcodes
We are happy to inform you that our school has organised several opportunities to provide you with information about transitioning your children into Prep at Karalee State School in 2024.
Enrolment
Enrolment for 2024 are now open. Please go to the front office to pick up your enrolment pack. Remember original birth certificates and proof of address (e.g. council rates notice, rental agreement) must be sighted when enrolling.
Upon returning enrolment forms to the school office please book a time for you and your child to meet the principal.
Pre-Prep Parent Information
On Thursday 5 October there will be a Parent Information Evening in the Performing Art Centre (PAC) from 6pm to 7pm. The Prep teachers, Administration Team, Tuckshop/Uniform shop, Karalee Out of School Care (KOSHC) and others of our school community will be there to talk to you about our school and to answer any questions you may have. If you need to bring your child/children there will be supervision in the library.
Pre-Prep Morning
Pre-Prep students are invited to come and spend a morning working with the Prep teachers while their parents spend time with the Principal and Deputy Principal. This year we will be running three different mornings for our Pre-Prep students and parents.
The three sessions will be as follows:
- 9.30am-10.30am Wednesday 11 October - C&K Kindy children.
- 9.30am-10.30am Wednesday 18 October - Karalee Kindergarten and Early Years Learning children.
- 9.30am-10.30am Wednesday 25 October – 1234Kids and other Early Learning Centres
All parents will be required to sign in and get a name tag for their child.
Pre-Prep Parent Interviews with the Principal
The school will be conducting interviews with parents between Monday 6, Wednesday 8 Thursday 9 and Friday 10 November and Tuesday 14 November to Thursday 16 November. This will provide you with the opportunity to convey any information that you believe is important for us to know about your child and allows us to get to know their needs before they arrive at school. If you have any legal or medical documents pertaining to your child you will need to bring them to the interview.
