Karalee’s Got Talent Top 3 Junior and Senior Performers for 2023

The Top 3 Junior and Senior performers finally performed on parade last week. What a talented line up. The audience, students and parents alike, absolutely loved the show. The votes from Years 3 to 6 are now in… and the winners will be announced on our very next parade (June 16) and presented with their prizes generously supplied by our marvellous P&C. Oh the antic-ip-ation! Good luck to our Top 3!

The Karalee’s Got Talent Community Performance Show

Tickets are on sale now!

If you would like to be a part of the audience to see the amazing talent that has been on display throughout the Karalee’s Got Talent program for 2023 then you should get down to the office as soon as possible and book your seats.

The Community Performance Show will be held in the Performing Arts Complex on Tuesday June 20. Doors will be open at 6:00pm. The show will commence promptly at 7:00pm and finish around 9:00pm. There will be a fabulous mix of Early Years performers, Top 10 Junior performers and Top 12 Senior performers and as a treat this year we have our first group act as a guest appearance from KOSHC.

Tickets went on sale on Wednesday June 7. They can be purchased from the Office at a cost of $5.00 per seat. We strongly advise that get your tickets early as they do sell rather quickly. As this is a P&C fundraising event, we ask that all that tickets be paid for by cash. Funds raised from the community show will go towards improving our PAC resources.

Hot and cold food, and drinks will be available for purchase from 6:00pm and at Intermission thanks to Mel who runs our amazing tuckshop.

HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!

Karalee’s Got Talent Early Years Category

Nominations are now open for the Early Years section of Karalee’s Got Talent. All nominations must be completed by Monday June 19. This is not a competition but simply an opportunity for our budding little artists to perform in front of their peers. The Early Years section will occur during our Under 8’s celebration on Thursday 22 June. The Years 1 & 2 show will be held from 9:00am until 10:00am and the Prep show from 10:00am until 11:00am. Due to the limited number of seats available in the PAC, parents of performers only are welcome to attend the shows. Priority must be given to seating the children.

The Process

Class teachers will be mostly responsible for the selection process. Nomination forms have been given to the P-2 teachers for all those children who would like to perform. Here is how it works in the Early Years section:

  1. The child indicates their desire to perform and completes a nomination form to give to their teacher.
  2. The teacher sends home the permission note with the child to get parental approval.
  3. If parents approve, the child will audition in front of their class and if that goes well the teachers will nominate the child to participate in the performance show.
  4. All names with details of the act will be sent to Mrs M-P by June 20
  5. All performers will receive a certificate as a memento of their involvement.

Performers must provide a copy of their music on a USB, to Mrs M-P the week before the show. We encourage children to wear costumes.
