Karalee Sporting Talents
Last week Mrs Jones had the pleasure of accompanying the school cross country team to Grammar Arms Park for the zone carnival. 24 children attended, and of these 20 children went on to represent the North Ipswich zone on Wednesday at the District Level. Thank you to Mr Mottram and Miss Kan for the wonderful efforts that they have put in with the training, as this was an exceptional result. From this carnival, five children are now representing the Western Ranges District as they finished in the top six placings on the day. These children are Daniel Watson, 1st in the 10 year old boys, Joel Jakimowicz, 3rd in the 10 year old boys, Adelaide Burger, 5th in the 10 year old girls, Rylee Novinetz, 2nd in the 11 year old girls, and Paige Grose, 3rd in the 12 year old girls. Congratulations to all of the 20 children who progressed to this level of competition, with special good wishes to the five students who are now progressing to the next carnival to be held at Limestone Park.
Karalee has also had other worthy representatives in a wide range of sports over the last couple of weeks who have made the Western Ranges District teams. Congratulations to the three girls soccer representatives - Mae Stevenson, Evie Schultz and Claire George. Riley Walis has been chosen to represent in the boys soccer team. Caitlin Townsley has been successful in gaining representation in the district tennis team, with Rylee Novinetz also gaining selection in girls touch football. Best wishes to all of these students in their chosen fields of sport for the future.
