Karalee has facilities that are the envy of other schools across the Metropolitan Region. Here is a snapshot of what we have to offer:

  • A 25m solar heated swimming pool that caters for swimming lessons in term one and term four and is also utilised by our wider community including Karalee P&C Swim School, Masters Swimming and for general hire by the public and other local schools.
  • A world-class Performing Arts Complex which boasts a 153 seat retractable seating system, extensive sound, lighting and multi-media systems, backstage rooms, instrumental music rooms, an art gallery, toilets and change rooms. Our students, staff and P&C utilise this amazing resource for Karalee's Got Talent, orchestral concerts, music siorees, dance performances, pantomimes, Christmas pageants, speech and drama productions and information evenings.
  • Our Resource Centre houses a 25 seat computer lab, conference rooms, a library, a multi-media room and enough space for three classes to visit at one time.
  • A two story Community Hall that is used by classes for Physical Education lessons and also by Karalee OSHC. Many school community events are held in this space including our fortnightly parade, our annual P&C Trivia Night, the Year 6 Graduation, ANZAC Parade, Remembrance Day Parade, Easter Bonnet Parade, our biannual Spring Fair and so on. The Community Hall is also widely accessed by a variety of community groups and can be hired by phoning the school on 3294 5333 during school hours.
  • Every classroom is air-conditioned, has smart board technology, a minimum of four computers and access to class sets of iPads.
  • The ‘old library’ now houses a second computer lab with 25 computers and a designated Science space.
  • Our senior oval includes cricket nets, a cricket oval, a full size soccer and football field and an adventure playground.
  • Our Junior oval also has a soccer field, 2 courts marked for basketball, netball and tennis and an extensive adventure play facility.
  • The Prep open play space has been designed exclusively for our Prep students to learn through play.
  • A ‘Land for Wildlife’ area that is home to many species of native flora and fauna. This area is used for environmental lessons and is treasured by our students.
  • Many purpose-built landscaped gardens and grassed areas for quiet activities.
  • An office space and kitchenette dedicated to our P&C volunteers, with toddler-friendly resources and a conference room.
