Curriculum

Karalee State School has detailed curriculum programs for each key learning area from prep to year six. At Karalee State School we follow the Australian curriculum (ACARA). In addition LOTE (languages other than English) is taught.  Students in years four to six receive tuition in basic German.

The Australian curriculum website sets out the core knowledge, understanding, skills and general capabilities that are important for all Australian students.

The Queensland Department of Education and Training has developed a series of teaching plans and assessment items that provide Queensland state school teachers with detailed lesson plans, teaching strategies and resources that interpret the Australian curriculum. These unit plans are called curriculum to the classroom units (C2C). The following links provide the rationale and aims for each of the curriculum to the classroom (C2C) key learning areas.
